Dawn in Saigon
Hello, warm morning light. It's barely quarter past six, but you're already beckoning me out. You don't seem to realize I should be asleep. It's as if you've forgotten that I need to rest, that there will be plenty of time to explore later on in the day. After over 30 hours of travel, this body is exhausted. My arms have developed mysterious aches, my skin is screaming and my eyes are bloodshot. Nonetheless, my mind refuses to be silent. It's 6:23am. One last try at sleep, or perhaps, the rooster's right, and it really is time for coffee and exploring.
